AB  - Human resource management is going beyond having a merely instrumental role, to becoming the support or organizational competitiveness.  One of the areas in which human resource management must support companies is in fulfilling their social l responsibility.  This research aims to find evidence of this relationship base on a theoretical perspective and a comparison of a set of Colombian companies. We performed a triangulation of both quantitative and qualitative methods of data collection.  We carried out and analysis of the validity and reliability of information, and used cluster techniques to analyze the information, and complemented them witch descriptive and qualitative techniques, such as discourse analysis.
