ACTIVIDAD 3- ENTREGA ABRIL 30 DE 2017
Author: Andres Lopez Astudillo
1.1.E-supply chain operational and behavioural perspectives: an empirical聽study of Malaysian SMEs.
A review of the literature suggests that much of the existing e-supply chain聽adoption literature is not firmly grounded in theory. Where many previous聽studies have identified technology as the key determinant, we argue that聽operational and behavioural perspectives should be duly taken into consideration聽while adopting e-technology. Therefore, inspired by the systems engineering聽principles, we propose a generic framework for evaluating business performance聽of e-supply chain companies.

1.2.聽Perceived Strategic Value and Adoption of Electronic Commerce:聽An Empirical Study of Small and Medium Sized Businesses-USA
By combining two independent research streams, we聽examine the strategic value and adoption of electronic聽commerce (e-commerce) as perceived by top managers in聽small and medium sized enterprises (SME). We propose a聽research model that posits three factors that have been聽found to be influential in previous research in the聽perception of strategic value of other information聽technologies.
1.3.聽Reconsidering e-business strategy and the impact on聽supply chains.
The focus of the earlier paper was on integration and collaboration tools, while internet聽B2B tools can be used also for the opposite purpose. E-sourcing and e-procurement tools are aimed at聽increasing purchasing efficiency, rather than integrating inter-firm business processes. In general,聽statistics and predictions such as those discussed focus on the value of exchanges, not on the purpose聽of internet applications.
TAREA 聽2: De las siguientes lecturas debe seleccionar dos:
Adopting new technologies for supply chain management
Integration of supply chain activities and the technologies to accomplish it have become competitive聽necessities in most industries. Accordingly, the trend toward greater use of supply chain technologies is on a聽clear path forward. As one manager has noted: 鈥樷榃ith almost daily technology advancement globally in聽every facet of the business, organizations need to synchronize by adopting and implementing new electronic聽commerce and supply chain technology in order to protect market share, not to mention improve market聽penetration鈥欌. This paper develops a model of the key factors influencing the adoption of supply chain聽technology.

Co-opetition and Technological Innovation in聽Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises

2.4.聽E-commerce and its impact on operations management
Electronic commerce (EC) is possibly the most promising application of information technology witnessed in recent聽years. It is revolutionizing supply-chain management and has enormous potential for manufacturing, retail and service聽operations. The tremendous importance of EC has prompted us to write this paper. We have attempted to define聽e-commerce and examine major EC elements that link organizational systems. The application of EC in manufacturing,聽retailing and service operations is examined, and a framework for describing EC components and their role in different聽areas of an organization is proposed.

2.7. 聽Internet-Enabled Supply Chain Systems:聽Drivers or Inhibitors of Collaboration?
Today many firms are attempting to reconstruct traditional trading relationships in the supply chain by聽pursuing collaborative partnerships. Some firms have introduced Internet-enabled supply chain systems to聽integrate strategic suppliers into collaborative networks to promote cooperative activities and聽relationships. In reality, many of these so-called 鈥榗ollaborative鈥 supply chain systems have聽underperformed or been terminated. Although these supply chain systems frequently achieve gains in聽operational performance, they often fail to enact any substantial relationship change or redesign business聽activities required for collaboration.

2.8. 聽The Role of the Internet聽in Supply Chain聽Management
The Internet has grown rapidly over the last 5 years. It is聽predicted that more than 100 million households will be connected聽to the World Wide Web by 2002. But what about the use聽of the Internet in business-to-business supply chain applications?聽Here, the greatest potential of the Internet is being realized聽by speeding up communication between customers and聽their suppliers, improving service levels, and reducing logistics聽costs. In this article, the authors discuss for the first time how聽the Internet is being used in managing the major components of聽supply chains including transportation, purchasing, inventory聽management, customer service, production scheduling, warehousing,聽and vendor relations.
