Background
The emerging technologies of the final days of the 20th century are transforming the economies in the 21st century. Few technological developments have had such an impact in such a short time on the world as that of the technology of the Internet; to such an extent that some say that it is equivalent to the invention of the printing press.
The Internet has brought about an instantaneous and indiscriminate access to information permitting interaction among users in any part of the world, eliminating the barriers and frontiers of the traditional economy and ushering in the presence of business on a global scale.
