The Icesi University is a non-profit university, founded in 1979 by a group of business leaders in the Cauca Valley to form excellent professionals with a high sense of ethics and social responsibility in the different areas of knowledge. During the same year, the undergraduate program in Business Administration, a day program, and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) were created. Later, and in reply to the educational demands of the region, a night program in Business Administration was initiated.
Today Icesi University offers fifteen undergraduate programs, a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Finance, and fifteen post-graduate programs for the express purpose of creating a management elite. Thanks to the close relationship between the University and the business sector, Icesi offers continuing education courses and diplomas based on their needs.
Icesi University is affiliated with The Colombian Association of Universities (ASCUN), The Latin American Council of Business Schools (CLADEA), The International Association for Management of Education (AACSB), The Design Management Institute, The Colombian Association of Computer Information Users and the Association of International Educators (NAFSA). Icesi has established cooperation agreements with the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation, the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP), the University of Tulane and the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT).
Likewise, the Schools and Centers offer advising and consulting services in the areas of administration, economics, technology, engineering and business development.
All of the undergraduate and post-graduate programs have the approval of ICFES and count on the help of the businesses which founded and continue to support this effort in the Cauca Valley for Colombia and the world.
