Intereses de Investigación

Entender la diversidad vegetal tropical, tomando en cuenta los procesos que la originan y la mantienen. Dilucidar los patrones y procesos de diversificación  y especiación de plantas, así como los factores que permiten la coexistencia de especies. Con este fin combino un conjunto de aproximaciones que reune la morfología, la ecología y la biología del desarrollo y la filogenia molecular.
