La charla estar\u00e1 dividida en dos partes. En la primera discutiremos que es una computadora cu\u00e1ntica adiab\u00e1tica y como \u201ccodificarla\u201d para resolver problemas complejos tales como plegamiento de prote\u00ednas dentro de un modelo reducido. En la segunda parte, discutiremos como la mec\u00e1nica cu\u00e1ntica puede ser \u00fatil para dise\u00f1ar materiales con mayor eficiencia en la colecci\u00f3n de luz solar y la subsecuente conversi\u00f3n a electricidad (paneles solares).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Acerca del expositor: <\/strong>Alejandro Perdomo es egresado del programa de Qu\u00edmica de la Universidad del Valle (2005). Durante el periodo 2004-2006, realizo estancias de investigaci\u00f3n en la Universidad de Clemson, el Instituto de Tecnolog\u00eda de Georgia (GeorgiaTech) y la Universidad de la Florida. Actualmente y desde el oto\u00f1o del 2006, Alejandro es un estudiante del programa de doctorado (Ph.D) en Qu\u00edmica F\u00edsica de la Universidad de Harvard. Su investigaci\u00f3n en el \u00e1rea de ingenier\u00eda cu\u00e1ntica y su trabajo doctoral ha involucrado colaboraciones con la Universidad de Oregon, el Instituto de Tecnolog\u00eda de
