Los estudios embriol\u00f3gicos en su vasta mayor\u00eda est\u00e1n basados en microscop\u00eda y han quedado en el olvido debido a que ha sido subestimada su importancia para el entendimiento de procesos biol\u00f3gicos b\u00e1sicos. Las tecnolog\u00edas <em>\u201c\u00d3micas\u201d<\/em> son m\u00e1s atractivas para las nuevas generaciones de cient\u00edficos, sin embargo cuando el objetivo es pasar de gr\u00e1ficas y n\u00fameros a plantas reales, la embriolog\u00eda es reconocida por su valor fundamental para el entendimiento del desarrollo de las plantas que aun hoy d\u00eda sigue siendo un gran reto. Caso similar es el de la producci\u00f3n de plantas doble haploides (DH, plantas homocigotas obtenidas a partir del cultivo <em>in vitro de <\/em>\u00f3vulos o p\u00f3len inmaduro), la cual puede reducir substancialmente el desarrollo de nuevas variedades. El seminario ilustrar\u00e1 la tecnolog\u00eda DH y la contribuci\u00f3n de la embriolog\u00eda para su desarrollo utilizando como modelos cereales, colza y yuca.<\/p>\n<p><a
