Los l\u00edmites de detecci\u00f3n de estos sensores son del orden de 10<sup>-6<\/sup> M, su desempe\u00f1o est\u00e1 determinado en gran medida por la composici\u00f3n y el espesor de la membrana selectiva, formada por un pol\u00edmero base, un plastificante, un intercambiador i\u00f3nico y la especie selectiva o ion\u00f3foro.<\/p>\n<p>De otro lado, los sensores impedim\u00e9tricos se fabrican mediante el recubrimiento de un sustrato de oro con una monocapa autoensamblada de un tiol, el cual es a su vez modificado con una capa de ligante cuya estructura puede reconocer selectivamente a los iones de inter\u00e9s.
