Este p\u00e9ptido se agrega y forma las placas amiloides que constituyen uno de los principales marcadores histopal\u00f3gicos de la enfermedad. Adicionalmente, mutaciones en el gen que codifica esta prote\u00edna causan enfermedad de Alzheimer de inicio temprano. Sin embargo, Presenilina 1 tambi\u00e9n cumple otras funciones que no est\u00e1n relacionadas con la producci\u00f3n de Beta-amiloide. En esta conferencia, el Dr. Sep\u00falveda nos hablar\u00e1 sobre el papel de Presenilina 1 en la homeostasis del calcio y el estr\u00e9s mitocondrial, y presentar\u00e1 los resultados m\u00e1s importantes de la investigaci\u00f3n que \u00e9l y su equipo han desarrollado hasta el momento.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cellular biology of mitochondrial stress phenotype in Presenilin 1 mutant models &nbsp;
