Interpretado por el mismo Allen, Block entra en crisis cuando la universidad de la cual fue expulsado lo invita a recibir un premio literario. Sus amigos cercanos se reh\u00fasan a acompa\u00f1arlo ya que le reprochan la manera como ha usado sus vidas privadas para llenar las paginas de sus libros.
