El primero, de utilidad inmediata y puntual, es ayudar al estudiante a profundizar en el contenido de los materiales que est\u00e1 estudiando. El segundo, de utilidad permanente y de largo plazo, es ayudar a desarrollar en el estudiante la honestidad intelectual y la disciplina necesarias para que cuestione permanentemente su pensamiento. El primer prop\u00f3sito se logra formulando preguntas productivas, no triviales, acerca de los contenidos que ocupan, en un momento dado, la atenci\u00f3n del estudiante.
