Hemos decidido cambiar el orden de la edici\u00f3n original y organizar los poemas por tem\u00e1ticas. Le llamamos Cimarroner\u00eda po\u00e9tica no solo porque su autor fue uno de los miembros m\u00e1s importantes del movimiento cimarr\u00f3n en Colombia, sino porque tambi\u00e9n estos poemas enuncian y evocan el pensamiento cimarr\u00f3n que cuestiona y se\u00f1ala, con rigor, las herencias del sistema esclavista que no permite que los afrocolombianos sean verdaderamente libres en Colombia. La importancia que tiene para el autor las discusiones, temas y denuncias raciales que hace en estos trabajos po\u00e9ticos le valieron para que el afroamericano Laurence Prescott lo llamar\u00e1 \u201cEl Poeta de las Negritudes\u201d [Carlos A.
