We develop skills that will allow them to make optimal decisions according to the outline, structure and effective communication for investment and financing strategies to maximize the business value and the development of global financial markets.

The world's highest standard of excellence in business education

The Master in Finance belongs to the School of Business and Economic Studies, internationally accredited by the AACSB, organization founded by universities such as Harvard, Columbia, and Yale, which accredits only the best business schools in the world. Only 5% of the best business schools in the world have this accreditation, 17 in Latin America and only 2 in Colombia (Universidad Icesi and Universidad de los Andes).

 

Applied Finances Forum

Per semester, the Master of Finance organizes as part of its course curriculum, a forum with national and multinational business executives, where topics related with decision models in the financial and corporate finances, derivatives and rent investments and alternatives are made among others.

International Experience

All students will live an international experience that will allow them, through direct contact with the culture of a foreign country, to broaden their international perspective and identify better global opportunities. The experience includes a one week course of Global Investment Strategy in the Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago, United States), business visits and meetings with businesspersons in the city they visit. 

Travel expenses (fares, room and board) will be paid by the student. Should the student need a visa, the University supports the application however, the granting of the visa depends upon the consulate of the respective country.

Double Major Option with European Schools

Icesi Master in Finance students will be able to apply for a double major with three business schools in France, accredited by the AACSB: Montpellier Business School, ESC Clermont – Graduate School of Management, and ESSCA – École de Management. All programs, widely known in Europe, are offered in English. The academic cost of these programs corresponds to the registration value at Icesi; in international universities they will not bear any costs related to the registration.

Degree

The participant that has completed all courses in the Program and successfully completes his or her final project shall receive the Master in Finance degree, pursuant to Resolution 5890 of June 7th, 2019 of the Ministry of National Education.
