Our focus

The training that psychology graduates receive at Universidad Icesi allows them to understand human beings from a clinical perspective, and to understand the individual's relationships with themselves, with others and with society. Psychology training at Icesi enables its graduates to work in a variety of professional fields: clinical, social, organizational, and educational. Thus, psychology graduates from Universidad Icesi are able to:

  • Carry out psychological consultation and assessments, and to make psychological diagnoses of subjects, institutions and communities.
  • Assess, design and implement psychological interventions for individuals and groups.
  • Offer psychological counselling and guidance to individuals, organizations and groups.

Reasons to study psychology at Universidad Icesi

  1. Icesi counts with a Center for Psychosocial Care in Cali (called CAPsi), that works as a center for training, research and intervention in mental health issues for the city's at-risk population.
  2. Students and graduates are offered opportunities of having international experiences thanks to our exchange programs and visits to foreign universities.
  3. Our psychology program has been consistently ranked first in the region and has been ranked within the top six psychology programs nation-wide in the national Saber Pro Exams, (a test that assesses the quality of undergraduate programs in Colombia).

  5. Our graduates are highly employable: they gain employment within a year of graduation.
