Abstract

It is common to associate almost automatically the technological change with the social change under the studies of technology, that is, technological determinism. In contrast, it is the thought that the people in the society are the ones who determines the road to be taken of a technology. The latter is considering the social construction of the technology. To observe these polarized positions and its possible intermediacy solutions to study the relationship among technology, society and history it is the aim of this article to open a discussion of this type among the researches of technology.
