“El estilo de Tom Jones, apodado El Tigre de Gales, cautivaba a muchos por su voz cálida y al mismo tiempo muy caudalosa, algo muy poco frecuente en un cantante popular. Su primer sencillo fue grabado para la casa discográfica Decca en 1964 con la canción “Fiebre intermitente” (Chills And Fever); no tuvo mucho interés, pero el éxito llegó en 1965 con la canción “No es raro” (It’s Not Unusual). Ese mismo año, graba la canción para la película de James Bond titulada “Operación Trueno” (Thunderball). El reconocimiento llegó con el premio Grammy porMejor artista nuevo. En 1966, su popularidad empieza a consolidarse a través de un propuesta madura, transformándose en un gran crooner con canciones como “El verde, verde césped de casa” (Green Green Grass of Home), “¿Qué hay de nuevo, gatita?” (What’s New Pussycat), “Los ojos míos” (Help Yourself) y Delilah.”

“Radiohead (inicialmente On A Friday) es un grupo musical inglés de rock alternativo originario de Abingdon. Desde su formación en 1985 lo componen Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Phil Selway y Ed O’Brien. Hasta la fecha ha publicado 7 álbumes de estudio y ganado 3 premios Grammy.

El éxito de Radiohead fue inmediato. Su primer álbum, obtuvo buenas ventas gracias, sobre todo, al tema Creep, lanzado como sencillo de adelanto en 1992 y que es hasta la fecha el mayor éxito de la banda. Algunos críticos pensaron que Radiohead sería un one-hit wonder. Sin embargo, la banda logró capturar la atención de miles de fanáticos del Reino Unido con su siguiente álbum, The Bends.^[3]

Su tercer trabajo, OK Computer (1997), que trata los temas de la alienación y la globalización, ha sido aclamado como uno de los mejores álbumes de los 90. ^[4] Ganó el premio Grammy al mejor disco de rock alternativo de 1998, además de una nominación al mejor disco del año.”
