Among the many urban-architectural projects underway in Medellin, stared at the linear parks that extend throughout the city as a new form of public space. For this, we chose four parks in which we investigated the uses, practices and appropriations from the user as a result of these spatial transformations. While the interpretations identified users developed against these places and concepts that had the local government, when designed and constructed for public use and enjoyment appeared account users, different ways of understanding and meaning, possibly its creators did not consider at the outset. With a very marked emphasis on urban priority responds to a physical and aesthetic requirements when building these parks was seen as a secondary interest in meeting the needs of the real user and not ideal for this kind of wind.
