During the last decade, in Colombia, there have been efforts to include information technology and communications (ICT) in the school management, aiming to promote quality and innovation in the education system. The TemáTICas program for school’s principals has become the methodological reference for the strategic planning of ICT through the development of management plans using ICT. Educational institutions of basic and secondary level have advanced in the planning and implementation of projects that integrate ICT in school management, however it is evident the lack of tools to know what to do during the stages of verification and feedback when assessing the impact of their actions. This paper presents a reference model to direct the deployment of such steps, the design of the analysis of the current situation in south western Colombia and links with the COBIT framework and the ISO 9001:2000 (GTC -200). Includes the results of validation with a panel of experts.Downloads
