This study examines the mediating role of dynamic capabilities enabled by information technologies in the relationship between the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies and supply chain resilience. Using the partial least squares structural equation modeling
approach with data from 125 supply chain managers in Colombia, a model based on the dynamic resource-based View is empirically validated. The results show that Industry 4.0 technologies drive the adoption of information technologies, strengthening capabilities
such as visibility and collaboration. These capabilities, especially visibility, positively influence resilience. The impact of Industry 4.0 is not direct but mediated by capabilities, which are crucial in emerging markets.
